The Federation of Cwmfelinfach and Ynysddu Primary Schools

Two schools, one shared vision: belong, believe, be you. Federated since 1 September 2019, sharing an Executive Headteacher and a Governing Body, with each school keeping its own identity.

Article 15: I have the right to meet with friends and join groups.

How the federation works

Two schools, one Governing Body

Cwmfelinfach and Ynysddu Primary Schools formally federated on 1 September 2019. The two schools share an Executive Headteacher, Mrs Emma Jones, and a Federated Governing Body made up of Local Authority, community, parent, teacher and staff representatives from both schools. Each school keeps its own name, crest, classes and community.

Because we are one federation, our policies are the same in both schools and are held once. Anything that belongs to one school alone, such as its Estyn report, Pupil Development Grant statement, development plan and handbook, stays on that school's own pages.
